Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using MedVerify ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. Intended Use

The App is intended to help you verify the registration status of pharmaceutical products against Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) Ghana records. By using the App, you agree to provide accurate information and use it only for that purpose. You may also voluntarily contribute pricing and location data to help the community.

You must not attempt to bypass security protocols, spoof geolocation data, or submit false information regarding drug prices, images, or pharmacy locations.

3. Accuracy Disclaimer

Verification results reflect registration data made available by FDA Ghana and community-submitted information. This data may change or contain errors beyond our control. A result on MedVerify is not a guarantee of a product's safety, efficacy, or quality, and is not a substitute for professional medical or pharmaceutical advice.

4. Reporting Suspicious Medicines

Unapproved and counterfeit drug detection is a community effort. If a product is flagged as "Unregistered" or gives you cause for concern, you are encouraged to report it. Sharing accurate prices and pharmacy sources helps protect other users and strengthens the community's ability to spot counterfeit activity.

5. Data Collection

To provide verification, we collect the information described in our Privacy Policy, including:

• Drug barcodes, search queries, and manual entries for verification.
• Optional user contributions: drug images, purchase prices, and pharmacy names/locations.
• Approximate location, collected only when you verify a product or submit community data.
• Device information: app version, operating system, device model, crash logs, and an anonymous device identifier.

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, branding, and underlying software, is the property of MedVerify and its developers. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or distribute any part of the App without prior written consent.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MedVerify and its developers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or reliance on, the App, including decisions made based on verification results.

8. Suspension of Accounts

We may suspend or terminate access for anyone who violates these Terms, submits fraudulent data, or attempts to compromise the security or integrity of the App.

9. Governing Law (Ghana)

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Any disputes arising from these Terms are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ghana.
